"Love Friends"

How did a friend become the
Object of my affection,
The subject that holds
My attention,
You were a mere thought,
How did you become
Captive in my mind?
You're cruel to be kind,
Mixed feelings hold me back,
Can't release what I feel,
Can't show you,
It's all too real,
Hold me the way you do,
Kiss me,
Don't say a word,
When the day ends,
I hope it ends with you,
When I awake,
I open my eyes to you,
A friend touched my heart,
Now its pulsating in his hands,
If it stops thumping,
You'll resuscitate my love,
My love,
You'll resurrect my trust,
My friend,
You'll be there for me
Till the
