You ask me as if you don't know,
You ask as if I mean the world to you,
The answer is in between these lines,
The truth I never disguise,

War stories I have survived,
The scars I will never show,
The pain is deep below,
Triumphant so many victories
To celebrate,
Life is a blessing,
I don't take for granted,
Cheers to the good life,
Toast it up my friend,
One take,
Smile here comes the click
Clack then flash,
Life is not a show,
It's to be lived out loud though,
Find your voice & rock out,
It's your time now,
Don't let the base drown out
Your tone,
Paint the town in the colors
You so choose to,
Live how you please,
You only get
One take,
For God's sake,
Live to the fullest,
With no regrets!

I'm not a preacher,
I can't be your savior,
I'm no saint,
I've lived life as a sinner,

Guilty only by association,
No longer do I live life blinded,
Did my best to overcome
Negative circumstances,
I count my blessings,
Thankful for my family &
All my loved ones,
I'm no healer,
I'm no martyr,
I'm someone's intelligent daughter,
I'm someone's compassionate sister,
I'm the perfect contradiction,
You can't label me,
I won't allow it,
You can't discourage me
From carrying out my legacy,
From taking all that belongs to me,
I'm a dreamer,
I'm a realist,
I'm someone's hero,
I'm someone's villain,
I'm someone's missed target,
Don't know why but society
Loves to point fingers & spit lies,
Don't allow the negativity to
Hold you captive,
Send you into a downward trance,
Keep on rising,
Keep on shining,
Keep on living to the best of
Your capabilities,
Smile when you want to cry,
At the end of the day,
Be proud of who you are,
Only you know...
Just who
You are!
